Our Story
Thrive was born out of the necessity for us women to prioritise our health through the food we eat. Let us feel nourished, better balanced and empowered to know what to eat everyday to feel well.
Mother, MSc Food Scientist, Health Coach, Nutrition Consultant
I am with you on this journey. As a mother I want to thrive - not just survive.
In 2018, I left my management role with a food diagnostics company to follow my passion for nutrition. Training with The Plant Academy in London I learned the fundamentals of plant-based food from experts who are making a positive impact on the health of others and our planet.
What I learned, combined with my experience as a food scientist and nutrition + health coach gave me the motivation to specialise in supporting women who were seeking the life long benefits of including more plants in their diet or transitioning fully to a plant-based lifestyle.
But it wasn’t until I became pregnant with my daughter in 2021 that I truly understood the need for greater access to nutritional support for woman and mothers, from preconception to postpartum and beyond. I became so passionate about nourishing myself and my growing baby that I trained with Oh Baby Academy qualifying as a Certified Nutrition Consultant specialising in pregnancy, post-partum and baby nutrition.
As a mother my energy has never been more tested. My ability to look after myself has never been more stretched.I am fuelled by the knowledge I hold and my passion for sharing it with other women (during pregnancy, postpartum or motherhood).
Let’s raise our collective energy through food that makes us feel good.
Let. Us. Thrive.
We as women + mothers need to prioritise our health and wellness without guilt, knowing that it is more than deserved, so we can continue to be well for ourselves and our families.

My 10 learnings of how to eat well to feel well
1. Food is JOY
I wholeheartedly believe that a good meal, particularly shared with family and friends fills your soul and is one of life's simple pleasures. When you view food as a source of nutrients, vitality, satisfaction, experimentation and creativity and start building a plate full of colour, textures and flavours EVERY eating occasion is JOYFUL.
2. Veggies are your best friend
Veggies should be the star of your plate. Although it is important to eat 5-7 servings of veggies per day, diversity is key. The more variety of veggies you eat the more nutrients you are consuming and the more benefits you will see in your body. My challenge is to eat 20 veggies per week!
3. Focus on quality over quantity
Instead of counting calories, focus on quality whole foods. Buy local, organic and seasonal where possible.
4. Listen to your gut
I believe that gut health is at the core of our immunity, vitality, mental agility and overall happiness. It is an incredible ecosystem which we must nurture daily through the foods we eat and the lifestyle we live. Prebiotic + probiotic foods should be an essential part of your diet every day.
5. Eliminate processed foods
+ added sugar
They are considered ‘empty calories’ and are not benefiting you or your body in any nutritional way.
6. Hydrate
It is essential we drink plenty of water (especially when we wake) to ensure our body functions properly. From carrying nutrients to our cells, to flushing toxins from the body and aiding digestion we should aim to drink >2L per day (and more if sweating). A good rule of thumb for good hydration is if your pee is a light straw colour.
7. Sleep well
As someone who suffered from insomnia for years, I know first hand how important it is to your overall health, including digestion, immunity, cellular repair and cognitive function. It also regulates your hunger hormone, so less sleep equals more hunger.
8. Breathe
Sometimes we forget to breathe especially if we’re in flight mode. I try to make a conscious effort to do 5 big belly breaths before each meal to relax my digestive system and prepare it for food. I also meditate every day as it allows me to sit, be still and listen to my breath.
9. Preparation is key
As difficult as it may sound with a busy work schedule and kids on the go, give yourself 20 minutes on a Sunday to plan the meals for the week ahead.
10. Be happy + Feed your Soul
Life is for living and doing things you enjoy. Find the foods, people and activities that feed your soul and nurture your body and do more of what makes your little heart sing. When you’re in a more positive mind frame and your lifestyle is aligned with your health you will feel bloody amazing!!!
